United States. Construction began on the company's new facility in the city of Longview. Last Tuesday, July 18, was the date chosen to lay the first stone of works whose cost is estimated at approximately US $ 40 million.
The project responds to AAON's desire to increase its current production capacity and have the necessary infrastructure to manufacture new products. In this way, the company estimates that it will have to create about 250 new full-time jobs.
The new space was designed to feature three loading and shipping docks, as well as new parking lots, break room and entrance for employees.
"AAON has been a proud member of Longview and surrounding communities for 30 years. We have a tremendous amount of growth opportunities thanks to our location and we couldn't be more excited," said Doug Wichman, vice president of AAON Inc. and president of AAON Coil Products.
Approval of the project
Previously, the Longview Economic Development Corporation (LEDCO) examined the company's expansion plan. The bill was then voted on and approved in April of this year.
Wichman commented, "Our partnership with LEDCO and other local development organizations has allowed us to capitalize on unprecedented growth. AAON will continue to support these communities and our team members for many years to come. We're just getting started."
