Dominican Republic. Founded on August 11, 1974, the Dominican Association of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technicians (ADOMTRA, for its acronym in Spanish) celebrates 50 years of experiencing a process of transformation and significant growth.
Highlighted since its beginnins for its work for the promotion and development of the refrigeration, air conditioning and maintenance sector at the national level, ADOMTRA is organized, established and recognized in accordance with Decree No. 679 dated March 21, 1975. In addition, it is part of the National Commission to Grant Licenses for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technicians (CONALTRAA, for its acronym in Spanish).
This year, ADOMTRA proudly celebrates its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of leadership in the industry. During this time, the association has strengthened its commitment to technical excellence and innovation, collaborating closely with members and allies to drive sustainable development and energy efficiency in the region.

Precisely, representatives of the association were present at the launch cocktail held at the beginning of May, where Santo Domingo was officially announced as the venue of Refriamericas 2025. In addition, ADOMTRA promotes the responsible and efficient use of natural resources in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector, thus contributing to environmental conservation.
Currently, the association has a close relationship with the Association of Importers of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Equipment (AIRA) and with international organizations, such as the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), strengthening its commitment to international standards and sustainable practices.
