United States. The company's facilities, a subsidiary of Taco Comfort Solutions, were inaugurated on February 21. Its commissioning substantially expands the operations of the Taco family of companies.
This new Hydroflo plant is in Lubbock, 40 miles north of its previous location in Brownfield, Texas, and offers extra room for future growth, additional capabilities and equipment expansion.
"This opening signifies a renewed focus on ensuring our customers have access to the most reliable, high-quality vertical and submersible pumps on the market," said Cheryl Merchant, president and CEO of Taco. "Our investment in infrastructure, test equipment and increased workforce is just the beginning of the next phase of Hydroflo's story."
According to Hydroflo Director of Sales, Clay Williams, the new 45,000-square-foot location in Lubbock, TX, substantially expands its manufacturing, warehouse and quality control operations. He said the company acquired new manufacturing equipment while modernizing its testing capabilities.
"The new test well is much larger and deeper, so we greatly increased our range of tests," said Larry Jones, vice president of Hydroflo. "We now have the ability to test all current pump models, something we previously had to outsource."
What will be produced in the new plant?
Hydroflo manufactures a wide range of submersible turbine, vertical axial flow, vertical mixed flow and vertical turbine pumps for use in the agricultural, commercial, industrial, municipal, marine, mining and power generation markets.
The company uses ductile iron discharge heads and heads made of steel or 316 stainless steel style L, F and T. Ductile iron castings with 201 stainless steel impellers are also used to increase the strength of your solutions. For applications that require corrosion resistance, Hydroflo offers castings and impellers in 316 stainless steel.
