International. The Siemens Building Technologies division reported that it has added new functionalities to the Synco IC cloud platform for remote control of HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning). Synco IC now includes remote meter reading for energy bills, remote monitoring of key energy performance indicators, and remote intervention to reduce energy consumption.
With Synco IC Energy Monitoring, building operators can reduce energy consumption while collecting billing data remotely. The system can be expanded up to 2,500 radio frequency meters or 250 cable meters.
Collecting billing data using remote meter readings prevents face-to-face information collection, improving operational efficiency by saving travel and personnel costs. Automatic data collection and validation minimizes human reading errors and prevents meter tampering as well as data falsification. Access to and use of customer data is controlled and your information is kept secure.
Up to 100 locations can be connected for free, making Synco IC suitable for facilities management companies that own a large portfolio of smaller buildings. It is also a great option for cities and municipalities that have a set of distributed buildings, such as office districts, school buildings or nursing homes; or for those companies that want to organize and maintain building automation systems in their branches and offices around the world, in connection with a location or headquarters.
Synco IC offers simple monitoring of all HVAC plant control and measurement data through an intuitive user interface. Such an interface shows data trends and allows benchmarking of energy KPIs across multiple buildings or tenant areas.
