The CALA AWARDS return and open applications for 2025

CALA Awards

Latin America. With the arrival of the year 2025, the prestigious CALA AWARDS open applications and are preparing to once again recognize the best HVAC/R installations in Latin America. This award, organized by ACR Latinoamerica, which highlights the most outstanding air conditioning and refrigeration systems projects in the region, will be presented in a special ceremony during Refriamericas Santo Domingo.

The awards ceremony will be held on July 23, 2025 on the show floor of the Sans Soucí Ports Convention Center, where the winner for the Best HVAC/R Facility of the Year 2025 will be announced. In this edition, two categories will be awarded: Best Air Conditioning Project and Best Refrigeration Project.

Apply your project here.

Selection process
The selection process for the winners will begin with the evaluation of the nominated projects by a jury of industry experts. This jury will analyse the projects and choose three finalists in each category. Subsequently, the winners will be selected through a virtual vote that will take place during the months of June and July, through the websites of the ACR Latinoamerica magazine and Refriaméricas.

To choose the finalists, the jury will take into account the following criteria:
• The incorporation of cutting-edge technologies in the project.
• The positive impact of these technologies on the intervened space, optimising its operation and sustainability.
• The relevance and significance of the project for the benefit of the region or the country.
• The projection of the project into the future.
