Brazil. On the initiative of Procobre (Brazilian Copper Institute) and associated with the Publisher SESI-Senai y Abrava (Brazilian Association of Refrigeration of Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Heating) the book (in Portuguese) "Good Practices in the use of copper for refrigeration and air conditioning" was launched.
By the author and professor José de Jesús Amaral Marques, the book aims to be a guide to Good Practices for professionals in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector.
The president of ABRAVA, engineer Arnaldo Basile, said that for the association, "it was very important to be associated in the preparation of this book, as it is in line with one of the most important objectives of the association, which is to disseminate concepts about good engineering practices. Training and training is part of the business of entrepreneurs."
The elaboration of the book was an idealization of the ICA (International Cooper Association) of which Procobre is a member, due to the fact that the use of copper is of great importance for the refrigeration and air conditioning sector and aims at professional guidance of the correct use of copper in facilities to technicians working for the industry. Good practices with the use of copper generate benefits to the environment and quality to the services performed, providing longer useful life and greater energy efficiency of the systems. Divided into eight chapters, the book addresses topics such as the characteristics of copper, refrigerant fluids, good practices, among other points.
According to Antonio Maschietto, from Procobre, it is important to share the contribution of copper to the refrigeration and air conditioning scenario and allow students, technicians, among other professionals in the sector access for the correct use of copper in the facilities, to increase the useful life of the equipment, ensure the safety of installations and energy efficiency.
For the author of the book, José de Jesús "I hope that this work facilitates and intensifies the exchange of knowledge between professionals in the sector, as well as the orientation for their work in a practical and safe way, in addition to being able to contribute to the improvement of their pattern and professional evolution".
The revision of the book was under the responsibility of Abrava, who had the experience of Eng. Oswaldo Bueno, Abrava technical consultant and coordinator of the National Committee of the ABNT CB55.
