Book launched on good practices in the use of copper in HVAC/R

Brazil. On the initiative of Procobre (Brazilian Copper Institute) and associated with the Publisher SESI-Senai y Abrava (Brazilian Association of Refrigeration of Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Heating) the book (in Portuguese) "Good Practices in the use of copper for refrigeration and air conditioning" was launched.

By the author and professor José de Jesús Amaral Marques, the book aims to be a guide to Good Practices for professionals in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector.

The president of ABRAVA, engineer Arnaldo Basile, said that for the association, "it was very important to be associated in the preparation of this book, as it is in line with one of the most important objectives of the association, which is to disseminate concepts about good engineering practices. Training and training is part of the business of entrepreneurs."

The elaboration of the book was an idealization of the ICA (International Cooper Association) of which Procobre is a member, due to the fact that the use of copper is of great importance for the refrigeration and air conditioning sector and aims at professional guidance of the correct use of copper in facilities to technicians working for the industry. Good practices with the use of copper generate benefits to the environment and quality to the services performed, providing longer useful life and greater energy efficiency of the systems. Divided into eight chapters, the book addresses topics such as the characteristics of copper, refrigerant fluids, good practices, among other points.
