Chile. Santiago is already preparing for the XV Ibero-American Congress of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (CIAR Chile 2019) to be held at the Sheraton Santiago Hotel & Convention Center from May 8 to 10, 2019.
On this occasion, the slogan of the congress has been defined: CIAR Chile 2019: For a sustainable future.
The work team has been defined and will be headed by Heinrich Stauffer who will be the president of the CIAR Organizing Committee; he is supported by Peter Yufer, president of the Chilean Chamber of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (CchRyC), María Angélica Figueroa and Marcelo Contreras, both directors of the chamber.
On this occasion, an Expo Frío Calor will be integrated into the congress, smaller than the original, which considers 30 general stands and 20 stands for sponsors and next to the central academic-scientific topics, there will be technical presentations and prior to the event a Golf Tournament will be held.
It should be remembered that the FAIAR (Federation of Ibero-American Associations of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration), is an entity that brings together 14 partner countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Spain, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela. Bolivia is in the process of incorporation.
Every 2 years, FAIAR organizes an international congress, called CIAR (Ibero-American Congress of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration). The last CIAR was held in September 2017 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, when Chile was defined as the next organizer and Alejandro Requesens was elected as president of the FAIAR.
