Argentina. As of September 5, the Energy Evaluation Course for Buildings will be carried out, organized by the Buenos Aires Regional Faculty of the National Technological University and by ASHRAE Argentina.
The course is designed to provide the basic knowledge needed to perform energy audits of buildings and prepare for the ASHRAE Building Energy Assessment Professional BEAP-ASHRAE certification.
During the first part of the course, the methods and processes necessary for energy assessment and certification in a building will be presented. During the last weeks the students will carry out a fieldwork in a real building. This work will involve the realization of a preliminary analysis of energy use, a "walk-through" review, measurements of the Quality of the Indoor Environment (IEQ), analysis of energy efficiency measures, post-audit reports and preparation of the presentation of Building EQ. It will be guided by certified professionals to present a Building EQ qualification.
The course lasts twelve classes per week and offers a special bonus for ASHRAE members and the university campus community.
