Schneider Electric received the Design-Plus award in the technology and sustainability categories for its Uniq building management system at the Light+Building congress.
This recognition was created with the aim of highlighting the innovative potential in future-oriented products in the fields of lighting, electrical engineering, as well as in the automation of buildings and homes.
"The awards recognize both manufacturers and young design talents whose products stand out for their technical and ecological quality, as well as for their innovative potential," Schneider explains in its official statement.
The selection process of the winners is carried out through an evaluation of the products by a group of based experts who use criteria such as appearance, materials, handling, ecology, energy efficiency, sustainability, service life, innovation, functionality and integration potential.
Under these parameters, the system stood out for allowing a complete management of the buildings uniting simplicity, flexibility and energy efficiency. In addition to facilitating the integration of security cameras, multimedia systems or video intercom, as well as jointly controlling functions such as lighting, air conditioning or blinds.
