The Spectronics corporation has introduced its new Spectroline telescope, it is the VioMAX Plus lamp (P / N VMP-400CS) of violet light for leak detection. This mini lamp finds leaks in AC&R systems in narrow, tight areas where the other lamps don't fit.
The high performance of the 400 mm violet LED light offers optimal fluorescent response and contrast and works with all universal POE dyes. A small amount of dye is added to the system and allowed to circulate, the dye will escape with the coolant, and when scanned with the light, the leak will brightly illuminate.
It weighs 45 grams and measures just 9 inches (23 cm) in the closed position, making the VioMAX Plus easy to take anywhere. The flexible lamp extends to a total of 29 inches (74 cm), and with the help of the large pivoting mirror, measuring 1 inch in diameter (2.54 cm), it is easy to see leaks from any angle.
The lamp turns on automatically when the shaft is extended and turns off when the shaft is compressed.
