Mexico. A state-of-the-art wind farm was installed in the state of Chiapas in order to supply electricity to 38 municipalities with the highest energy demand, and to the state institutions that govern tuxtla Guitiérrez.
Public lighting, water pumping and all the needs that the government buildings of this state require will be covered by the new development that is expected to begin operating before the end of this semester.
"This project had not been carried out before in Mexico; this opens a new niche for all energies: solar, wind, hydroelectric, and for all developers," explained Claudio Rodríguez-Galán, partner of the firm Woodhouse, Lorente & Ludlow and representative of the developer company.
The park, which will have a total of 30 megawatts installed, will operate for the next 20 years.
