Dominican Republic. The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is supporting the new energy efficiency project being carried out in the Dominican Republic, which seeks to improve consumption through a national energy plan initiative.
The National Energy Commission is the developer of the plan that aims to determine the amount of energy consumption in the public sector to find deficiencies and propose solutions.
The Spanish company Sodes Group is in charge of the project and according to its representatives, the way in which local residents spend energy is a significant finding that was executed within the audits to find the answer to consumption and thus generate savings projects.
It is expected that by next July, Sodes will deliver the results of the consultancy to the National Energy Commission and the local government to make way for the fulfillment of the national development plan.
