Shipments of air conditioning systems and hot air pumps leaving the United States totaled 637,606 in July, averaging three percent down from shipments in the same month last year, according to ARI (Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute). Hot air pumps for the month of January totaled an output of 169,417 units, representing a decrease of seven percent compared to the same month last year.
In July 2006, deliveries of central air conditioners and hot air pumps totaled 4.2 million. Exports of hot air pumps totaled 1.2 million with a decrease of eleven percent, compared to the same month last year.
