Latin America. Founded in 2005, Allengra GmbH is a company specialized in the design and production of ultrasonic flow sensors and standard and OEM control valves for liquids and gases. This is what its Commercial Manager told us.
Allengra's core technology is currently ultrasonic measurement. In this sense, the manufacturer has achieved cost-effective applications and high-end device integration, offering measurement and regulation solutions for various industries, including gas heating boilers, automatic coffee makers, robotic scrubbers, and industrial automation, among others.
According to executive Niels Junker, Allengra's solutions are designed to meet the specific needs of each end customer's application. In addition, Junker specifies that the company manages the entire development process, from concept to series production, with several engineering departments and prototyping skills.
ACR LATINOAMERICA: In which Latin American countries does the company have a presence?
NIELS JUNKER: In Colombia due to its strategic geographical position, being one of the most competitive countries in the region, attractive for foreign investment and maintaining confidence in the political stability that has been strengthened during the last five years. ACR: How is the portfolio of products and services offered by Allengra in our region composed?
NJ: We have a wide range of products for measuring liquids or gases, which can be classified as follows: liquids, fuel, gases, temperature and hydrogen.
-Liquid flowmeters: our standard Alsonic line, made of high-end industrial plastic or bronze. From dimensions DN15-DN50.
-Gas flowmeters: Alsonic Gas DN15-DN32.
-HVAC Plastic L and Type L for high flow rates, multifunctional probe with integrated ultrasonic measurement of flow, pressure, temperature and heat.
-Flowmeters for high temperatures (from 40°C to 220°C), high speed, air speed, compressed air.
This year we make the official debut in the World Superbike Championship with the International Motorcycling Federation, being the exclusive suppliers of fuel flow meters for the competitions. In addition, we have other surprises for this year:
-Alsonic Stainless Steel DN15-DN20.
-Second generation microflow meter: specially developed for the food industry and has its due approval, without moving parts and ideal for small flows such as 0.02 liters per minute.
ACR: What characteristics make your products and services stand out from your competitors?
NJ: As is well known, ultrasonic flow sensors are widely used in HVAC systems due to their measurement accuracy and reliability. These attributes make them critical tools for maintaining the efficiency, performance, and longevity of HVAC systems. We are distinguished by constant innovation and technological competitiveness, the company invests in research and development (R+D) to offer cutting-edge products, with technological improvements that respond to the challenges of the sector and specific needs of the industry, which allows us to stand out in the field. Our products offer flexibility in different environments, industrial or residential, allowing the measurement of multiple variables with a single sensor. We produce solutions with different dimensions, from DN15 to DN50, which allows us to cover a wide range of applications and all our products are built with high quality materials. Additionally, they require low maintenance and long-term operational savings, since Alsonic meters have a usage period of more than 12 years.
