Can you tell us a little bit about your background and what led you to J2 Innovations?
I've spent my entire career working with building automation systems. I started as a field engineer, then moved into positions in technical support, training, product management, and business development, concentrating on the development of controllers, field devices, and software tools for field technicians. I have experience using FIN and am impressed by how easy it is to learn, deploy, and use; It is a well-designed product. I was eager to join a team that shares a mindset focused on delivering great value to customers through innovation.
What excites you most about your new role?
I'm excited to learn from our customers and understand how we can deliver exceptional solutions for their needs. I am also delighted to be working with such an amazing and talented team.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love the mountains: hiking, photographing and camping. I also enjoy paragliding; It's another exciting way to experience the mountains.
Is there a particular project or aspect of your work that you are particularly passionate about?
I'm very curious and I love to learn. I've found teaching to be a great way to learn and I'm passionate about both aspects of my work.
Who inspires you professionally and why?
Along my path I have had great teachers and mentors: some were bosses, others were colleagues. His genuine intention to help always inspired me. I try to keep in touch with them to share ideas and learn from their wisdom.
What's the best advice you've ever received?
This comes from my grandmother and is part of Latin folklore. In Spanish, it says: 'The cowed eats from what is hidden'. It roughly translates to: if you're willing to go the extra mile or volunteer for extra tasks, you'll discover hidden opportunities.
