International. Under the motto "Your choice, our commitment", Frascold presented four new compressor series for use with natural refrigerants at Chillventa 2024.
The company offers products with low-GWP refrigerants, which cover a wide temperature range, ensuring high performance in both ultra-high-temperature heat pumps and refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Frascold compressors are designed to ensure safety and reliability even under extreme conditions, meeting all market requirements.
Visitors to the R+D area of Chillventa 2024 were able to appreciate the novelties in the field of Frascold prototypes. Among them, the Magnetic screw compressor stands out, equipped with the permanent magnet motor for partial load control, with 2Vi to adapt to different load conditions, and ATEX certified for use with all HC refrigerants. The volumetric displacement is up to 800 m³/h, while the power of the electric motor is up to 250 hp.
The expansion of the range of the TK HD series for transcritical CO2 in Z size was also presented, with volumetric displacements of 58 to 80 m3/h and power of
Electric motor up to 160 hp, for use in boosters and industrial heat pumps. Finally, the new STK bi-stage CO2 series available in three sizes divided into 11 models and ideal for operations at low evaporation temperatures in subcritical and transcritical conditions, allowing first-stage volumetric displacements of 1.5 to 13 m3/h, with an engine power of 3 to 30 hp.
In the cold area, the sectioned FVR refrigeration screw compressor stood out. Meanwhile, in the heat zone, the Z-size of the ATEX HT series was presented, designed for use in air-to-water heat pumps, enabling the production of domestic hot water at temperatures up to 80 °C, and new models for the W-size piston compressor series, both in standard and ATEX-certified versions.
This latest extension of the range covers volumetric displacements from 259 to 284 m3/h with engines of up to 100 hp, ideal for use in the industrial sector.
"Our participation in Chillventa 2024 has been an important moment to share the technological advances that Frascold has made in the last year," said Livio Calabrese, the company's commercial director. "The new prototypes and series testify to our commitment to offering innovative and sustainable solutions, serving the needs of the market."
