Brazil. As part of the celebrations for its first centenary, the Japanese manufacturer Daikin opened a new training center and showroom in Salvador de Bahia.
The center for HVAC/R industry professionals is the third that the company has opened in the country, as well as the first of this magnitude to be put into operation in the Northeast region. The opening event was attended by around 80 guests, including professionals from collaborating companies, customer sectors and representatives of local entities. The new facilities are located at Rua Rio Grande do Sul, 55, in Pituba, Salvador, Bahia.
"I want to highlight the importance of the efforts of Brazilian employees at this time of expansion of the company in the country," said the president of Daikin Brazil, Roberto Yi, during the event.
Likewise, attendees were also able to check new developments and trends in air conditioning solutions, equipped with differentials such as high energy efficiency and low environmental impact.
The Center
The place was structured in two environments, dedicated to the exhibition of products and the training center. The first environment is the Daikin Solutions showroom for residential and commercial lines, focused on regular sales support, indoor air quality (IAQ) and control solutions activities.
The showroom is intended to highlight the importance and differences of the air filters produced and sold by AAF, a Daikin group company, as well as the automation controls that allow equipment to be controlled remotely.
The second CT environment is dedicated to technical training and consists of two rooms with 20 seats each, where installation, maintenance and operation courses for all the company's product lines will be taught.
"The strategic choice of Salvador as the headquarters of this TC reflects the growth potential of the region and the need for specialized training in air conditioning, facilitating the logistics of professionals traveling from the Northeast region, and saving time and expenses," says Milton Bello, Sales Manager of VRV/Applied Rio de Janeiro and Northeast.
For his part, Júlio Passos, Daikin's Commercial Director for the residential area, highlighted that "Daikin offers the market products with the best in technology and efficiency. The equipment not only has a class A index, but also exceeds the minimum index established for the new criterion, which is 5.5, reaching 8.3 in products of the Split and Multi lines with R-32".
Training & Education
Led by Genivaldo Rosa, Daikin's Training Manager, this area manages a program that includes, among others, weekly courses with a variable duration between two and five days.
"For the training process of the workforce, there are four VRV Systems with all the automation on board, two Comfort modular chillers for IOM training (Input/Output Modules, or Input/Output Module), a chiller with heat pump for training in water heating, in addition to split and multi-split equipment, with R32 gas and WiFi control and the SKyAir System, with control via Reiri (intelligent automation system)," Genivaldo reported.
The center's first training will take place on May 6. The full agenda, pricing, registration and prerequisites of the course are available on the company's website.
