Chile. The manufacturer Copeland announced that during the event it will promote products aimed at the control, tracking and security of cargo in the cold chain.
The fifth edition of the Global Cherry Summit, the main meeting of professionals in the Chilean cherry industry, will be held on April 25 at the Monticello Convention Center, in the town of San Francisco de Mostazal.
There, Copeland will present at booth 43 the entire product line for cargo tracking and monitoring (including GO-Real Time - real-time tracker), dock-to-dock in-transit monitoring, temperature and humidity management in stationary areas, data loggers, visibility services and alerts for cargo security in case of theft or loss.
"The global cherry export market has seen significant growth in recent years, driven by a combination of increased global demand, advances in cultivation and transportation technology, and the opening of new markets. Chile, in particular, has become a leader in cherry exports, especially to the Chinese market, due to its growing season coinciding with the Chinese New Year, when demand for cherries is high. Improvements in refrigerated storage and transportation technology have allowed cherries to be exported to distant markets with superior quality, extending their shelf life and reducing waste," said Andres J. Gonzalez Blanco, executive at Copeland Cargo Solutions.
For the manufacturer, the show will also be an opportunity to promote the Copeland brand, with the changes implemented through Blackstone's acquisition of Emerson's Climate Technologies business.
In addition to the product showcase, the World Cherry Summit will feature panel discussions by industry leaders who will address the various challenges facing this fruit, offering participants ideas on how to take advantage of opportunities.
Every year, more than 1,000 participants and more than 70 exhibiting companies specializing in this fruit congregate at the event.
