Mexico. The new Danfoss Mexico plant, HEX 2, aims to manufacture components for heat exchangers, so it is a support for the brand's operations in this country.
Mario Martínez, director of HEX operations for Danfoss Mexico commented during the press event, in which ACR Latin America was present, that this new headquarters was born, taking into account the growth of recent years in the Mexican territory, and with projection to 2024. Well, since it started its production line, despite the pandemic, they have had a significant growth, reaching almost the doubling of production.
Likewise, the director assured that the new plant has been built to expand the production processes of heat exchangers of the parent plant. This building is strategically located in Nuevo León, "to meet the times of reaction, assembly, flexibility and efficiency throughout the supply chain."
Details of the new plant
The plant located specifically in the city of Apodaca (Nuevo León), has an area of 4,000 m2 and is estimated to generate more than 100 direct jobs to the community. In this space, components for heat exchangers will be manufactured, which will have the Welding processes (TIG), component assemblies, as well as returnable trolleys.
Likewise, the company announced that all the raw material and finished products of both plants will also be stored there. Mario Martínez pointed out in this regard: "we are very happy with the opening of site 2, this will help us a lot to grow, not only in production, but also to better serve all our customers in the North American and Mexican markets."
