International. Crestron recently launched a new version of its thermostats dubbed DIN-THSTAT. It is a heating, cooling and relative humidity thermostat for DIN rail mounting. Provides control of radiant floor heat, forced air and heat pump HVAC systems.
DIN rail mounting allows the DIN-THSTAT to be installed in an equipment cabinet, keeping the living room free of a wall thermostat. Small, discrete remote temperature and humidity sensors meet the ambient conditions of the room and transmit the data to DIN-THSTAT.
In addition, the connection of the Crestron control system allows temperature adjustments to be made from virtually anywhere by using a touch screen, a portable remote control, a mobile application or a Crestron computer.
Remote temperature and humidity sensors provide temperature and humidity data so that the DIN-THSTAT can be installed out of sight. Outdoor weather can also be monitored, allowing compensation for low outdoor temperatures to prevent condensation on windows during cold weather.
This new thermostat accepts up to three temperature sensors such as the CHV-RTS and CHV-RTHS for indoor temperature and humidity measurement or the use of a CHV-RSS for floor temperature measurement or outdoor temperature measurement. Each sensor is connected via a single twisted pair cable.
The DIN-THSTAT is designed to fit a standard DIN rail for installation in a Crestron DIN-EN series wall mount housing or similar or on a wall panel.
Wiring connections are made using screw terminals located along the top and bottom, clearly accessible from the front for easy installation and service. DIN rail mounting offers a modular, space- and cost-efficient solution for configuring complete automation systems using the DIN-AP3 in conjunction with additional Crestron and third-party DIN rail mount devices.
When installed in a cabinet with 45 mm cutouts, the DIN-THSTAT front panel remains accessible while the connections are hidden.
