International. AKO, a company specialized in temperature control and regulation for the industrial and commercial refrigeration sector, has received the "Innovation 2017" Award.
This recognition was delivered in Spain by the Mayor of St. Pere de Ribes, Abigail Garrido, the General Director of Industry of the Generalitat, Àngels Chacón, the President of the FEGP (Federació Empresarial del Gran Penedès) Martí Sistané, during the course of the Nit d'Empresa 2018 held in the town of St. Pere de Ribes (Barcelona).
The judges valued the level of excellence achieved by companies whose product and service initiatives have involved novelties in the company's value chain, both in processes and in the implementation of new technologies. AKO is honored to have been nominated along with other well-known firms.
In the year of celebration of the 40th anniversary of AKO and with more than 300 client companies, the company explains that this award is a reward for a whole professional career and in particular, for the great efforts invested in an unprecedented innovation project that has driven the company since 2016.
A project of specialization in design, manufacture and sale of intelligent control solutions for cold rooms, refrigerant gas leak detection systems and the redesign of its product portfolio, totally aimed at improving the experience of use of its customers in different applications and increasing energy efficiency, in addition to the protection of goods and people in food security.
This project not only serves to improve the offer of solutions to the market, but also for a transformation of its development, production, marketing and business model processes.
The Ceo of AKO, José Luis Bescós, commented: "Innovation for us is the process of turning ideas into tangible products that are sold and allow us to achieve the defined objectives.
