Mexico. The Chemours Company announced that Mexico's refrigeration company, Bohn, adopts low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants Opteon XP40 (R-449 A) and Opteon XP10 (R-513A) for use in its commercial refrigeration equipment such as Condensing Units, Chillers and Centralized Systems.
Opteon™ XP10, is a non-flammable refrigerant that offers 55% lower GWP than the refrigerant it replaces, while maintaining excellent performance and thermodynamic properties comparable to the previous refrigerant (R-134a). For its part, the OpteonXP40™provides 65% less GWP than the refrigerant it replaces (R-404A), in addition to excellent energy efficiency, so these distinguished advantages position it as the ideal substitute.
For his part, Alejandro Elnejem, Director of Fluoroproducts of The Chemours Company Mexico commented, "At Chemours we are proud that the bohn company of Mexico has chosen to adopt OpteonXP10™and OpteonXP40™for their commercial refrigeration systems, it is undoubtedly a great technological advance, since it will allow them to expand their portfolio of environmentally friendly solutions".
