International. According to a study, 60% of Spaniards consider that air conditioning is a clear reason for conflict in their workplace. With the arrival of summer and high temperatures there is a recurring reason for dispute in offices and homes: the ideal temperature of the air conditioner.
This was stated by the Spanish company Baxi, specialized in air conditioning, and which has carried out the study on "Opinions, attitudes and motivations about air conditioning in Spain" and from this survey, data are derived that show differences not only between autonomous communities, but also between men and women, as well as generational.
The main reason for conflict is that the temperature is too low (63.6%), that the temperature is not low enough (25%) and that they do not stop moving the temperature (6.8%).
In terms of sexes, The Baxi study shows that, both in the work environment and in the family environment, women are less satisfied with temperature than men. This study indicates that 64.4% of women are not satisfied with the temperature of the system, compared to 51.5% of men.
Age is also a differential element, and it is always the youngest who are willing to negotiate the temperature more than the elders in the office or at home. Between 18 and 34, 48.2% discuss; between 35 and 54, 48.9% discuss; over 55%, discuss 63.6%.
For its part, the analysis also indicated that in households there is more consensus, since 77% of Spaniards affirm that the temperature in their house is "very satisfactory" and that they agree "among all".
