Argentina. A group of Cold Chain professionals met last month as part of the second Cold Cold Chain Executive Connection breakfast at the Plaza Hotel in Buenos Aires.
The event brought together eleven leaders of refrigerated warehouses from Argentina who seized the opportunity and assessed the issues affecting the industry today. The meeting was attended by guests such as Vivianne Moreira Leite, from CAP-Logística Frigorificada Brasil, and Manuel Cabrera, Director of Frío Puerto Investment, Spain, who offered participants a new perspective on the developments and challenges of the cold chain in other countries.
During the event, different topics were addressed: How excessive government regulations imposed on companies affect the profitability and efficiency of the industry, the need for well-trained personnel to avoid high turnovers and the negative effects of transport unions that retard growth. All of them concluded that it is critical to work together to address and solve the issues that are affecting the growth and competitiveness of the industry.
