Venezuela. In the city of Caracas, the "II Phase II Teacher Training Course" was held, which was attended by 10 facilitators who are part of different training and education institutions, who were trained on the use of hydrocarbons as an alternative refrigerant.
This meeting was organized by the Ministry of Popular Power of Economy and Finance, through the Venezuelan Fund for Industrial and Technological Reconversion Foundation (Fondoin).
Attendees received 40 theoretical-practical hours of content related to the ozone layer, climate change and global warming, substances that deplete the protective layer, good practices in refrigeration, and Venezuelan laws and regulations to protect the ozone layer and control the use of hazardous refrigerants, among others.
The activity began with the intervention of Gianfranco Ruggiero, technical advisor of the Ozone Directorate of Fondoin, who expressed the importance of the inter-institutional alliance Fondoin-Inces: "We are working on creating a group of Inces trainers, certified, who are multipliers in the area of knowledge acquired here".
For his part, Jorge Puebla, instructor of the training, indicated that the focus of the meeting is to prepare technicians at the national level to use hydrocarbon as an alternative refrigerant, in addition to refreshing knowledge in good practices and thus avoid any activity that produces environmental pollution.
On the other hand, Esler Landaeta, participant commented on his pleasure and expectations with the training "The last time I attended the Good Practices course was in 2012, with this leveling I updated myself in hydrocarbon management. Let's keep innovating and working."
