Brazil. From September 12 to 15, the CIAR-Conbrava 2017 event will be held, which unites the XIV CIAR – Ibero-American Congress of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, and XV Conbrava – Brazilian Congress of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Heating and Air Treatment, together for the second time after the 1995 edition.
This forum will bring together the academic and technical communities, in order to promote and discuss solutions for professionals and users of the HVAC-R sector. The program includes national and international conferences, round tables, courses and exhibitions of panelists.
The Congress each day will open a new chapter for discussion and integration focused on ideas in represented sectors. For this edition, some changes and novelties have been planned, such as the opening of the event the day before the start of the Congress, as well as a greater number of conferences on specific topics and relevance for the sectors represented. Among the changes, there is also the realization of technical courses with a duration of up to 8 hours.
During the congress, round tables are traditionally held; in this edition are planned those of energy efficiency, refrigerant fluids and air quality. The panels will be open to the public, following the academic example, which offers the opportunity to increase their knowledge to the participants.
In this edition, the three best works presented at the CIAR-CONBRAVA 2017 will be highlighted and will receive the Álvaro Tápias award, named in honor of the founder of the FAIAR (Federation of Ibero-American Associations of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration).
