Brazil. Midea recently won the tender for the air conditioning project of the 2016 Olympic Games to be held in August in Rio de Janaiero. Midea will supply its variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems.
To host the 2016 Olympic Games, Brazil built the Barra Olympic Park in the city of Rio de Janeiro, which covers an area of 1,180 square kilometers and contains five stadiums and press offices. Midea will provide the necessary VRFs for these facilities.
Taking into account the special geographical location, climatic conditions, and architectural styles of Rio de Janeiro, Midea revealed that it has designed the air conditioning solution with the series of VRFs and Mini VRFs MDV V5X and selected the most suitable products for the different stadiums. To ensure the level of comfort and energy saving, most of the products will be imported from China.
The characteristics of this line is that it has a high operational efficiency with low energy consumption, thanks to its advanced direct current (DC) inverter technology, refrigerant precision control, energy-saving heat transfer, and powerful low temperature heating technology. The VRF has a maximum parallel capacity of 88 hp, and an IPLV of 8.3.
