International. Trane, an Ingersoll Rand brand, announced that it has won School Planning and Management Magazine's new Product of the Year Award, for its Trane Synthesis family of air-cooled chillers.
The award honors the outstanding product development achievements of manufacturers and suppliers whose products or services are considered particularly notable in helping to improve the learning environment.
Sintesis chillers are part of Ingersoll Rand EcoWise's ™ portfolio of products designed to reduce environmental impact with next-generation refrigerants with low global warming potential (GWP) and high-efficiency operation.
Synthesis chillers can operate with either R-134a or Opteon ™ XP10 (R513A), a low GWP non-flammable refrigerant, from Chemours Company. According to the company, Opteon XP10 offers excellent performance and combines efficiency with the I-134, with a 56% reduction in GWP.
Chillers also use up to 40% lower refrigerant charge due to the more compact, high-efficiency, integrated, low-refrigerant (CHIL) evaporator design. In addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, this portfolio provides increased construction efficiency, multiple acoustic treatment strategies for sound output, series with the AdaptiView ™ control panel for simplified operation.
