United States. Carrier announced that KB Home, one of that country's recognized homebuilders, will now include a Carrier Côr smart thermostat in all of its homes in the newly built communities that will open from 2016 onwards.
Carrier's Côr smart thermostat allows users to control their home's heating and cooling conveniently from any Internet-connected device, easily monitors energy consumption, or allows smart technology to automatically optimize home energy needs.
"We understand the importance of designing our homes to support today's lifestyles in terms of being connected. By equipping each new KB Home with Carrier's Côr thermostat, we empower our owners to have greater control of their home's energy use, right at their fingertips," said Dan Bridleman, Vice President of Sustainability, Technology and Strategic Sourcing at KB Home.
"KB Home's decision to make our Côr thermostat a standard component of their new homes shows a commitment to smart technology as a way to deliver comfort and efficiency to homeowners," said David Meyers, Carrier's vice president of sales. "We are delighted that KB Home has selected Carrier and our Côr thermostat, which is based on more than a century of heating and cooling experience. We believe its innovative features and ease of use will enhance the lifestyle of its owners."
Carrier said the Côr thermostat's design and smart display provide an intuitive user experience, making it easier for KB Home owners to take advantage of its wide range of benefits.
