Venezuela. An efficient lighting and air conditioning control system was installed in the Mausoleum of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, located in the city of Caracas.
The enclosure integrates the architecture of the old National Pantheon and the new Mausoleum where the remains of Simón Bolívar rest. Also belonging to this work are the external areas and adjacent squares dedicated to the recreation of visitors. Its highest point reaches 54 meters high, in extension it covers a space of 2,000 square meters.
The Mausoleum of the Liberator Simón Bolívar has KNX automation technology, a standard that allows a total integration of uses and functions by multiple manufacturers, technologies and communication protocols. In this work, the KNX controls the lighting and air conditioning systems, with the aim of achieving maximum energy savings and simplicity and safety in the management of the building.
The installed lighting system consists of luminaires adjustable by DALI-type reactances and metal halide discharge luminaires, which are operated with Jung 2316.16 REGHE drive actuators. Through the KNX-DALI Jung 2097 REGHE interface, time control strategies are programmed for visits and for different ambient scenes.
In addition, KNX controls LED technology projectors and DMX protocol, which are integrated into the system through drive actuators that change the different previously programmed scenes. As for the air conditioning, the VRF multi-V system of the manufacturer LG is used, with 46 internal cooling units that are controlled thanks to the interface of another manufacturer certified by KNX.
All the above functions are operated from a Jung FP701 IP touch screen, which allows the operators of the enclosure to visualize, program and centrally control the different circuits with the maximum possible comfort and energy efficiency.
