Brazil. A new laboratory for the promotion of new commercial refrigeration technologies with carbon dioxide opened Bitzer Brasil, in partnership with Carel, a company that supplied the control and handling devices.The laboratory offers innovative solutions for energy saving and sustainable development, and is a complement to the theoretical and practical training work that Bitzer Brasil has been doing for some time on new and standardized systems. The five-day courses are repeated several times a year in Spanish, Portuguese and English, at Bitzer's headquarters in Cotia, São Paulo.
The new laboratory is the first training center in Latin America that uses CO2 as a refrigerant and includes three cold rooms, two medium temperature and one low temperature, each with three evaporators. There, heat exchangers use R22, R404a and CO2.
