USA USA Distributor Watsco, Inc. and CVAC system manufacturer Carrier Corporation signed an agreement to distribute Carrier, Bryant and Payne brand products in the southern United States, Latin America and the Caribbean.The new Carrier Enterprises alliance will handle 110 service points in the region, in addition to serving more than 19,000 air conditioning and heating contractors. Residential and commercial systems will be distributed for small installations and a range of spare parts and complementary supplies.
Carrier will deliver 95 service points to the southern U.S. and Puerto Rico and the Miami, Florida export division. Watsco has agreed to buy 60% interest in the alliance payable in cash and shares, and will provide 15 points of attention, with the option to acquire part of the company in the coming years. Carrier Enterprises will function as a separate entity, while Watsco will operate in a decentralized manner.
