Colombia. With a group of attendees to the academic program of RefriAméricas 2012, the tour of the facilities of the production plant of the Colombian company of products of the poultry sector Friko S.A., located on the outskirts of Medellín, was successfully completed.
During about two hours of tour, which was led by the engineer Juan Felipe Domínguez, the attendees had the opportunity to know one by one the cold production processes that the plant has: Screw compressors, temperature control, condensation towers, storage cellars, ammonia storage, temperature behavior, evaporative condensers, among other processes were explained by engineer Domínguez.
At the end of the visit, the comments of the professionals were positive: "I really liked having had the opportunity to be on this visit, the cooling process they execute in this company is quite interesting," said Sergio Piedrahíta, from the company Reintex Ltda.
For his part, Juan Sebastián Martínez, of Colombina S.A, said that "it was possible to appreciate the process they fulfill, which is very rigid and efficient; this visit was quite helpful for us."
RefriAméricas will begin tomorrow, Thursday, June 21, starting at 8:40 a.m. (Bogotá/Lima) at the Plaza Mayor Convention Center in the city of Medellín.
