Professionals from the refrigeration industry from Colombia and Venezuela, attended on Wednesday a technical visit at the production plant of the Tres Cordilleras brewery, where they learned in depth about the craft beer brewing process, as well as the cold process involved.
The visit included a tour of the brewery plant in which heat exchangers were observed, which allow to regulate the temperature of the beer prior to the moment of fermentation, and a cellar for the storage of the finished product.
One of the most important points of the process is to reduce the temperature of the wort (mixture of water with ground malts), which must go from being boiling (90°C) to reaching an optimal temperature (19°C) at the time of joining with the yeast.
Those attending the visit were satisfied with the tour, especially for the possibility of knowing the operation of a sector as interesting as the brewery.
We remind you that RefriAméricas 2012, an event for Industrial and Commercial Refrigeration, will be held on June 21 and 22 at the Plaza Mayor Convention Center in Medellín, Colombia.
