Designed especially for manufacturers of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) machines, Schneider Electric presents its new SoHVAC platform that provides tools for the development, configuration and commissioning of machines.
The platform reduces programming and commissioning time thanks to plug & play parameterized controllers, pre-designed function blocks and documented architectures for programmable logic controllers.
The controllers do not require previous experience in programming or the use of software tools since they incorporate by default the control functionalities usual in HVAC machines and are configured from the display integrated in the controller.
One of the plug & play solutions available is applied, for example, to water chillers, in which, based on the preconfigured mode of operation, energy savings of up to 10% are made possible by reducing the overheating point from 8º C to 5º C.
