Opteon XP10 (R-513A) is a hydrofluoro-olefin-based refrigerant with low Global Warming Potential (GWP), which does not affect the ozone layer, developed to replace R-134a in commercial and industrial applications of medium temperature of positive displacement and direct expansion.
This DuPont product is ideal for both new equipment and retrofitting existing equipment, offering a balance of properties including high energy efficiency, environmental sustainability and safety.
Among other advantages, it has azeotrope with zero slip, a fast, easy and low-cost conversion from R-134ª; it is safe and non-flammable (ASHRAE 2 A1) and can be mixed with POE lubricants.
It is well suited to replace R-134a in the medium temperature circuit of hybrid cascade systems in combination with CO2, also in medium temperature commercial and industrial direct expansion cooling, water chillers, air conditioning and heat pumps.
