Honeywell now comes with its new Solstice N40 refrigerant, the best choice for new refrigeration systems in supermarkets or R-404A reconversions. Solstice N40 is a hydro-fluoro-olefin (HFO) blend designed to replace R-404A in low and medium temperature refrigeration applications.

Among its main features and benefits, it is included in the SNAP list of the UNITED STATES EPA and in the list of UL; in addition, its GWP index (GWP) of 1273 is 68% lower than that of R-404A.

It has an energy consumption of 5 to 16% lower than that of R-404A in medium temperature cooling applications; also its use has been tested by leading compressor manufacturers.

Finally, it does not cause ozone depletion and is not flammable (ASHARE A1).
