Johnson Controls
Johnson Controls' Glas smart thermostat is the first of its kind to use a translucent OLED touchscreen to change temperature, monitor internal and external air quality, among other functions, and by design is special for installation in commercial as well as residential applications.
The device can also be controlled using a mobile app or even voice commands, thanks to its integration with Microsoft's digital assistant, Cortana.
This thermostat also offers 24-hour reports on the use of the equipment, as well as energy saving records and can be programmed 7 days a week, according to the user's preferences, with settings ranging from a pre-ignition of the heating or air conditioning, and choose between ventilation or fan ignition options, depending on air conditions and temperature.
In addition to temperature, the thermostat can measure ambient humidity, total volatile organic compound density (tVOC) and carbon dioxide equivalence (eCO2) within a building, and if connected to the Internet, can monitor pollen volume, UV index and air quality, including carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and ozone levels.
