The Brial Enática Chair of Renewable Energies of the University of Zaragoza has organized this Wednesday in the Aragonese capital the II Conference on City, Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency, after a first session held in Madrid on November 3.
The main objective of these days is to consolidate them as a national forum for knowledge, reflection and generation of proposals around renewable energies and energy efficiency, the University of Zaragoza has informed in a statement.
In this second edition, and based on the regulatory framework established by the European Union and its Member States, Spain, the Autonomous Communities and their municipalities, the Conference will analyze whether it is being the appropriate channel to promote the incorporation of renewable energies and energy efficiency in cities and for the change of habits.
The inauguration will take place at 10.00 a.m. The coordinator of the white paper on sustainability and Deputy Director General of Urbanism, Ángela de la Cruz Mera, and the technician of the Spanish Network of Cities for climate, Eduardo Peña González, are expected to participate in the conference.
Likewise, the architect and director of the Urban Rehabilitation and Residential Innovation Projects Area of the Zaragoza Vivienda Municipal Society, Juan Rubio del Val, will intervene; the architect and head of the Architecture and Rehabilitation service of the Diputación General de Aragón, Jesús Andreu, and the general director of Operation of Red Eléctrica de España, Alberto Carbajo.
This year the conference incorporates a panel of experiences and good practices of BSH Electrodomésticos España S.A, GRB Griferias, ANEUMLED, IDOM, IMS and OCHO 17. In addition, as an example of energy-efficient and sustainable urban mobility, there will be a sample of one hundred percent electric vehicles, donated to the chair for this event by collaborators.
The conference is aimed at policy makers of municipalities and autonomous communities, architects, engineers, lawyers, professional associations, associations, NGOs, students, private companies, professionals involved in the development of cities and citizens with an interest in environmental issues and sustainability.
