Logitech has introduced a solar-only keyboard that has been billed as the first and thinnest solar keyboard. Dubbed the K750, the solar keyboard can be charged from the sun or an indoor lamp and can run for about four months in total darkness.
With a lifespan of more than 15 years, the keyboard is only 7mm thick and is five times more energy efficient than any other Logitech keyboard. The K750 has energy-efficient circuitry, optimized wireless link power, and two efficient solar panels for battery charging.
The company has also created a free desktop app for Windows that can accurately tell the power the keyboard currently has stored and current light levels. The K750 will be available on Logitech's website in December at a price of 79 euros.
