The CEO of the Sodercan Group, Salvador Blanco, has signed, on behalf of the Cantabrian Cluster of Marine Renewable Energies, a collaboration agreement with Jens Echoff of WAB (German Wind Energy Agency of Bremerhaven), which creates a framework for cooperation between Test Centers associated with WAB and the technological offer of Cantabria in the field of renewable energies, as well as other commercial, financial and technical collaboration spaces.
The agreement was signed during the institutional and business mission organized by the Sodercan Group to the German state of Bremen and in which twenty companies and institutions belonging to the Cantabrian Marine Renewable Energy Cluster participated.
In addition to the working meeting with the German WAB cluster, the mission included a visit to German companies in the wind sector and the Bremerhaven offshore wind farm.
In the opinion of Salvador Blanco, "directly checking the German advances in the field of offshore energies is a unique opportunity to learn and also to offer, for our part, a creative way of understanding research, development and innovation".
For the CEO, this visit and the alliance signed with one of the poles of global technological development is "only the first step of a demanding professional relationship that will benefit both regions", according to his words during the meeting with his WAB counterpart.
The agreement signed encourages collaboration between the two clusters, which will materialize concretely in mutual cooperation in commercial or financial aspects for new projects, always with the perspective of taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the markets.
Both parties also commit to creating a common European network for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of renewable energy.
The mission to Germany is part of the Sodercan Group's strategy aimed at the development and consolidation of a cluster of marine renewable energies as a scenario to promote industrial development in the region. (EUROPA PRESS)
