Spain. Researchers at the University of Burgos developed a device that can produce cold and heat through a solar system that heats and cools water at the same time by means of a collector and a condenser, that is, in the same way as refrigeration systems work.
The developers explained that the solar collection receives cold water or the weather and can be heated by means of solar radiation, while the evaporator is in operation only in the summer season and this allows condensing in the day the evaporators of the refrigerant and at night the refrigerant that cools the water evaporates.
Although with only the radiation of the sun it is not possible to produce cold directly, the researchers Manuel González and Luis Rodríguez assure that through an evaporator and a condenser it is possible to generate the reaction, and that the success of its development is based on the operation in a single system in the generation of heat and production of cold.
