Colombia. In 2010, sales of air conditioning for the industrial sector in Colombia grew substantially, registering revenues of more than US$81.5 million and generating more than 50,000 direct jobs.
This was reported by the Colombian Association of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Acaire, on the occasion of the celebration of its 30 years of life that took place on October 27 in the company of its affiliates from all over the country.
This figure coincides with the global rise in sales of this type of equipment in the commercial and residential segments, especially in tropical countries.
"The products of our sector contribute to improving the quality of life of one hundred percent of Colombians. That is why the biggest challenge of the industry is to consolidate Acaire as a specialized guild, of great interest to the entire industry, since its presence is transversal to all production chains, "said Claudia Sánchez, executive director of the Association.
