Christine Junior, from the Carolo-Wilhelmina Technical University of Brunswick, secured second place with her thesis entitled: "Energy evaluation of different concepts in circle R744".
In third place was Arash Soleimani Karimabad, who obtained his degree from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm with his thesis "Experimental research in a system for refrigeration in supermarkets based on carbon dioxide/ammonia".
The three prizes were based on a study on carbon dioxide and were recipients of a total of five thousand dollars.
