Mexico. Air conditioning in a store with a high influx of visitors represents a major challenge: to maintain thermal comfort without generating annoying drafts, to guarantee proper air circulation and to avoid accumulations of carbon dioxide and bad odors.
Added to these aspects was the aesthetic challenge: to integrate an efficient air conditioning system without compromising the design of the facilities, which in this case were those of the Palacio de Hierro Guadalajara, where the customer experience is considered a priority.
The Solution: Textile Ducts
To address these challenges, in collaboration with Aire y Refrigeración Vical, a FabricAir textile duct system was implemented, which offers efficient, discreet air conditioning perfectly adapted to the Palacio de Hierro environment.
The new facility features the following key aspects:
- Circular textile ducts in dark grey with Combi 85 fabric, which integrate perfectly into the design of the store.
- Type 8 All-in-One suspension system, which allowed for quick and efficient installation.
- MicroFlow and SonicFlow dispersion systems, which provide even air distribution without discomfort.
- MicroFlow: dispersion system based on microscopic perforations distributed along the pipeline, which allows a controlled and uniform flow of air, ideal for maintaining a comfortable environment without generating annoying currents.
- SonicFlow: Technology designed to direct high-speed airflow without generating excessive noise or turbulence. It is perfect for spaces with high demand for air circulation without compromising thermal comfort.
- Air flow of 6000 CFM, guaranteeing optimal air renewal throughout the store.
- 460 linear meters of duct, ensuring complete and homogeneous air conditioning.
Impact on space
- Greater comfort for customers: the feeling of annoying drafts was eliminated, improving the shopping experience.
- Healthy environment: thanks to optimal air circulation, CO₂ concentrations and unpleasant odours were reduced.
- Stable temperature of 22°C: an ideal thermal balance was achieved in all areas.
- Aesthetics: the ducts were visually integrated without affecting the interior design of the store.
Conclusion
"Thanks to the installation of FabricAir textile ducts, Palacio de Hierro Guadalajara was able to optimize the air conditioning of its store without affecting its sophisticated design. This success story is an example of how innovation in air conditioning can elevate the shopping experience and guarantee a comfortable and healthy environment for all visitors," said spokespeople for the company that provides the ducting solutions.
