International. The Mojave company described ArctiDry HP as the industry's first commercial external air conditioning system with a reversible heat pump.
The latest version of the patented, easy-to-install liquid desiccant heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system now includes a heat pump for energy-efficient heating and cooling. Mojave is the first company to integrate a liquid desiccant with a reversible heat pump.
"By incorporating a reversible heat pump, our innovative system is now a year-round electrification and decarbonization solution," said Phil Farese, CEO of Mojave Energy Systems. "With ArctiDry HP, building owners can reduce their cooling energy consumption by 50% with liquid desiccant and eliminate fossil fuel emissions in winter with a built-in heat pump. It's truly an exceptional commercial HVAC sustainability solution and demonstrates Mojave's dedication to continuous innovation."
ArctiDry HP is ideal for dedicated outdoor air systems (DOAS) and dehumidification applications in healthcare, education, supermarkets, hospitality, and manufacturing. The product features:
● An unmatched ISMRE2 efficiency rating of up to 11 lbs/kWh, which dramatically reduces electricity consumption by up to 50% while in cooling mode.
● The ability to operate in heat pump mode at an ambient temperature of up to 10 degrees Fahrenheit (with supplemental heating options available for colder climates, including gas, electricity, and hot water).
● ISCOP heating efficiency greater than 3.0 (integrated seasonal coefficient of performance, according to AHRI 920 test standard).
● ArctiDry HP leverages the compressor it uses in summer to also pump heat from outside into the building in winter, making it a more cost-effective heat source than a conventional gas or electric heater.
● ArctiDry HP can efficiently heat, dehumidify, and cool the air as needed, all in one easy-to-install and maintain unit.
Mojave will be exhibiting at the AHR Expo in Orlando, Florida, February 10-12, 2025. There, the manufacturer will be at booth 7979 providing more information and demonstrations of the ArctiDry HP product.
