Latin America. ATMOsphere announced its final program for the ATMOsphere LATAM Summit 2025 conference, which includes sessions on refrigeration, market and technology trends, policy developments, and the role of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in the HVAC&R sector.
The two-day conference, which will be held on February 19 and 20 at the Barceló México Reforma in Mexico City, will feature two inaugural presentations. The program also includes panel discussions with end users, contractors, and policymakers, as well as a session on ATMOsphere's Natural Refrigerant Certificate, a certification program that recognizes top-tier manufacturers and contractors who excel in delivering refrigerant-bearing systems and components

All sessions will be bilingual, with simultaneous interpretation in English and Spanish. The conference will offer a unique opportunity for participants to connect with regional and international experts and leaders, with several networking sessions scheduled and a networking reception taking place on the first night.

This will be the second face-to-face edition of ATMO LATAM. The first was held in November 2023, also in Mexico City. An online version of the summit was held in 2020 as part of the ATMO America virtual conference.

Regional Case Studies
The conference will feature a variety of refrigeration case studies from industry leaders, highlighting the versatility and impact of natural refrigerants such as CO2 (R744), propane (R290) and ammonia (R717). Featured presenters include:

Industry Insights
ATMOsphere will kick off the first day with sessions on global market trends and policies, and the impact of HFOs on our health and the environment. The following day, manufacturers FB Industrial and Copeland will delve into regional market developments and technology, offering a comprehensive overview of the industry's trajectory in Latin America.
Attendees will then receive first-hand experiences from end users, who will discuss the challenges, solutions and benefits of adopting technologies based on natural refrigerants in the regional context. The end-user panel will include Marine Farm, a Chilean aquaculturist; Casa Ley, a Mexican grocery retailer; and OXXO, a Mexican chain of convenience stores.
Policy discussions will feature representatives from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), who will discuss regulatory issues and standards in the LATAM region in general and Ecuador in particular, as well as from Mexico's Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and Trinidad and Tobago's Ministry of Planning and Development.
The contractor panel, with representatives from Total Refrigeration Systems (SRT), Refrigeration and Refrigeration Solutions, SUTRAK and Dicoma Refrigeration, will cover the actual implementation of systems with natural refrigerants.
