Costa Rica. After comparing its financial performance and operating practices with those of other companies in the sector, Multifrío was selected as part of the official list of Best Central American Companies (MECA) 2024.
The fourth edition of MECA had the registration of 115 companies in the region. Of these, 65 advanced to the documentation phase and 48 were evaluated by a multidisciplinary technical committee, which analyzed and weighed their level of maturity, taking Deloitte's Value Map and its 5 drivers as a methodology:
- Growth in sales.
- Operating margin.
- Efficiency in asset management.
- Management of strengths and external factors.
- Talent and sustainability.
In this way, 28 Central American companies obtained this distinction with global recognition, demonstrating a high level of excellence in their operating practices and financial results.
This is the third consecutive time that Multifrío has won the award for its experience and results. Representatives of the company participated in the closing events of the fourth edition, held in San Salvador from November 13 to 14, during which executives from the 28 recognized companies met.

It is an initiative promoted since 2021 by Deloitte, Grupo Promerica and INCAE Business School, with the aim of recognizing the most outstanding private medium-sized companies in the region

Regardless of the result, all companies that conclude the process receive pro-bono advice from coaches from the three promoting institutions, as well as a comprehensive diagnosis at no cost, which, in a totally confidential manner, highlights their main strengths and identifies a series of recommendations from business experts on how to continue optimizing their operations and results," the company said.
