United States. Fujitsu General America announced the launch of its new AIRSTAGE Multi-Position Air Handling Unit (MPAHU), designed to provide greater application flexibility by easily integrating with single- and multi-zone outdoor units. This system uses R-32 refrigerant, which is known for its lower environmental impact.
Available in capacities ranging from 12,000 to 48,000 Btu/h, the AIRSTAGE MPAHU is designed for both new construction and retrofit projects, offering an efficient and high-performance ducted central solution. All models exceed Energy Star efficiency criteria.
Key features include a built-in leak detection system, single or two-stage auxiliary heating kit options, and external inputs/outputs that allow integration with humidifiers, ERV systems, and other third-party devices.
With an external static pressure of up to 0.8 inWG, this unit ensures optimal performance under various installation conditions. In addition, it can be installed in different positions: upflow, downstream (with kit), horizontal left or right, and supports pipe lengths of up to 75 meters (246 feet), expanding the installation possibilities.
The unit operates in cooling mode at ambient temperatures between -21°C and 50°C, and in heating from -21°C to 24°C. An electric heating kit of up to 16 kW can be integrated as an option, with single- or two-stage controls.
The MPAHU is compatible with the Airzone zoning system, and features a range of optional accessories, such as remote controls (wired and wireless), Modbus and BACnet converters, LAN interface, filter kit, and remote temperature sensors.
With this launch, Fujitsu expands its portfolio of efficient and versatile HVAC solutions for the residential and commercial market.
