Peru. This year, the city of Lima was once again the host of the Copeaire congress, consolidating itself as an unmissable meeting point for the commercial air conditioning and refrigeration industry in Peru.
The event was held on September 6 and 7, 2024 at the College of Engineers of Peru. Key players in the industry arrived there, who had the opportunity to participate in technical conferences on the latest advances in energy efficiency, sustainability and green technologies, in addition to touring the exhibition of innovative products offered by national and international companies.
According to the organizers, this year the level of participation increased: "This edition ends with the satisfaction that an event that is growing leaves us," said Diego Martín Guerrero de Luna Villalobos, director of the Peruvian Refrigeration School (ERP), the organizing institution of Copeaire and which this year celebrates 15 years of operation.
Additionally, it is noteworthy that the congress and fair coincided with the good moment of the HVAC sector in Peru, which has experienced an increase of 8% in the last year, reflected in the growing demand for refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
"The air conditioning and commercial refrigeration industry shows an important recovery, exceeding US$ 200 million in value of imports, within which about US$ 60 million correspond to the specialty of air conditioning and the other US$ 140 million to the commercial refrigeration sector," said Óscar Humberto Uceda Santillán, commercial director of the ERP.
Copeaire 2024 was linked by international brands such as Midea, LG, Trane, Elgin and York; also highlighting the firm commitment of the national industry represented by participating companies such as Montalvo, WC Ingeniería de la Climatización, Airtemperú, HB Refrigeration and Refriperú, among others.
Each of these companies has an impact in areas such as construction, the food industry and engineering, which makes Copeaire a key forum to promote innovation and technological development.
In this way, Copeaire 2024 closed with a positive balance, reaffirming itself as an undisputed benchmark of the HVAC industry in Peru and projecting a panorama with a greater demand for sustainable solutions and clean technologies for the national market.
